Vancouver, Canada – The BCNET CONNECT Higher Ed and Research Tech Summit took place on April 25-27, 2023, at the Sheraton Wall Center. IT professionals from the education and research sector gathered to discuss the latest advancements in technology.

The event featured a presentation in partnership with cybersecurity company, Netskope, titled “We Cannot VPN Everything!”. During the presentation, the challenges of managing virtual private networks (VPNs) in an increasingly complex IT environment were discussed. With more organizations relying on remote access and cloud-based applications, IT professionals need help managing the growing number of VPNs. Alternative solutions to VPNs were presented, and practical tips for managing secure remote access were provided.
