X10’s PMO uses a waterfall model which is a linear sequential (non- iterative) design approach, in which progress flows in one direction downwards (like waterfall) through the phases of demand assessment, business planning, definition, delivery, support & measure and maintenance and handover (BAU).

This model also reviews gates, e.g. Initiation, commitment and fitness for launch, which is a formal meeting held with identified stakeholders to seek approval to proceed to the next phase.

The transition manager & the PMO manager’s engagement is critical during the demand assessment and business planning phases, because the non-functional requirements document is created, reviewed and completed which is key to identify the impact and the level of transition required.

X10 Technologies uses the Waterfall Project Management Methodology approach that includes an initial project kickoff followed by other milestones that happen in sequence. Our project stages are based on the following order:

Our six steps to effective project management approaches are:

1. Research and identify project requirements

2. Project Clarification and Scope

3. Planning schedule, risks, and resources

4. Communication Plan X10 Project Manager, Team Lead and Customer representative will have periodical meetings to

5. Monitor and Control of Project

6. Delivery, Closure and Review

Additional methodologies such as Agile, Scrum and Adaptive may be applied depending on project structure and requirements.
