SECURING THE AI-DRIVEN ENTERPRISE

Building the Foundation
for What Comes Next

X10 Technologies with Fortinet and MEC Networks | Manila | 17 September 2026

Artificial intelligence is changing how organizations operate, make decisions, and serve their customers. Yet before an enterprise can capture its full potential, it needs the right foundation—modern infrastructure, prepared data, effective governance, and security designed for an increasingly connected environment.

That was the central message of Securing the AI-Driven Enterprise, a Manila event hosted by X10 Technologies with Fortinet and MEC Networks. The conversation brought together technology leaders and practitioners to examine how Philippine organizations can move from AI ambition to secure, practical execution.

The event connected four conversations that increasingly belong together: the drivers accelerating digital transformation, the realities of today’s threat environment, the regulatory changes shaping investment decisions, and the technologies that can help enterprises modernize with confidence.

Modernization Begins with the Foundation

AI may be the most visible part of digital transformation, but it depends on everything beneath it. Real-time analytics, intelligent automation, cloud-native applications, and responsive customer experiences require bandwidth, low latency, resilient routing, scalable compute, and dependable access to data.

For many enterprises, ageing infrastructure remains the primary barrier. Legacy networks were rarely designed for the volume, speed, and distributed nature of modern workloads. They can also carry security debt: unsupported systems, inconsistent configurations, and known vulnerabilities create openings that attackers can exploit.

Modernization therefore begins with a clear understanding of the current environment. Organizations need visibility into infrastructure age, performance constraints, patch status, cloud dependencies, third-party exposure, and the data that AI initiatives will depend on. This assessment creates a practical starting point and helps leaders prioritize the investments that will deliver the greatest business value.

AI Readiness Requires Business Context

AI readiness is more than acquiring tools. It is the ability to connect technology to a defined business outcome, prepare reliable data, establish governance, and give teams the confidence to adopt new ways of working.

The most promising opportunities move beyond experimentation. Agentic and multi-agent systems, workflow automation, voice AI, retrieval-augmented generation, and secure integration can help organizations improve service, accelerate decisions, and reduce repetitive work. Their value becomes measurable when they are applied to a real operating need with clear ownership and responsible controls.

This is why the conversation must begin with the outcome an organization wants to create. The right question is not simply which AI product to deploy. It is how technology, people, process, and governance can work together to solve a business challenge securely and at scale.

Security Must Advance Alongside Innovation

The same capabilities that make AI powerful can also increase the speed and sophistication of cyber threats. Attackers are using automation, convincing phishing content, synthetic identities, and deepfake audio and video to exploit trust. Stolen credentials, intercepted authentication, third-party access, and unpatched systems remain common points of entry.

A secure AI-driven enterprise treats cybersecurity as part of the design—not as a final layer added after deployment. That means protecting identity, continuously monitoring behavior, strengthening authentication, managing exposure across vendors, and giving response teams the visibility they need to act quickly.

The event highlighted a set of capabilities that support this approach:

  • Zero Trust and identity-first security — verify access continuously and apply controls according nto context and risk.
  • Passwordless and biometric authentication — reduce reliance on credentials and one-time passwords that can be stolen or intercepted.
  • Deepfake and liveness detection — help protect high-risk interactions from AI-enabled impersonation.
  • 24/7 managed detection and response — improve visibility, accelerate investigation, and close the gap between compromise and action.
  • Third-party and supply-chain risk management — extend security oversight beyond the organization’s own perimeter.

Responding to a Changing Philippine Market

The Philippines is entering an important period of digital growth. More transactions are taking place online, connectivity is expanding, and enterprises are looking to AI to improve competitiveness. At the same time, regulatory expectations are advancing across cybersecurity, critical infrastructure, connectivity, authentication, and fraud prevention.

These developments can be treated as more than compliance requirements. Stronger authentication can improve customer confidence. Better visibility can reduce disruption. Modern networks can support new services and locations. Clear governance can help AI initiatives move from pilot to production. Enterprises that act early can turn resilience into a competitive advantage.

A Practical Path Forward

Transformation becomes more manageable when it is structured as a sequence of connected decisions:

Expertise and Partnership Make Transformation Possible

The flow of the Manila discussion reinforced a simple truth: no organization builds a secure, AI-ready enterprise alone. Successful transformation depends on a connected ecosystem of business leaders, technology specialists, manufacturers, distributors, implementation teams, and managed service professionals.

Fortinet brought a security perspective grounded in integrated protection and operational visibility. MEC Networks contributed local market knowledge and the reach of a technology distributor that connects organizations with the right solutions and expertise. X10 Technologies brought the architecture, implementation, and managed-services experience required to translate complex capabilities into secure, practical outcomes.

Together, these perspectives helped move the conversation beyond individual products. The focus remained on the complete environment: how networks, cloud, identity, security, data, and operations must work together around the client’s needs.

Building the AI-Driven Enterprise Together

The AI-driven enterprise will be built through deliberate progress. Organizations can begin by understanding their current state, protecting the fundamentals, modernizing the infrastructure that carries critical workloads, and scaling use cases that demonstrate clear value.

The strongest strategies will combine innovation with resilience. They will make technology easier for people to use, give leaders better information, and protect the trust of customers, employees, partners, and communities.

X10 Technologies is grateful to Fortinet, MEC Networks, the speakers, and every participant who contributed to the Manila conversation. By sharing expertise and connecting technology to real business needs, we can help organizations move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

Trusted Technology. Real Results.
