• Infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS)—Microsoft Azure, AWS EC2, GCE. The provider is responsible for securing physical data centers and other hardware that power the infrastructure. Users must secure their data, operating systems, and software stacks that run their applications.

Data protection is vital for cloud infrastructure management, as it provides gaining and successful application of the benefits of cloud services.
